Biogas small scale
Small mobile Biogas plant for test purpose.
Currently GTEC is developing a small scaled skid mounted biogas plant for testing purpose.
The picture shows the major components: fermenter with feed, postfermenter with overflow, gas train. Not shown is the feed preparation, gas tank, rotary feeder at the bottom of the fermenter and the effluent valve of the postfermenter.
The capacity will be approx. 1.8m³, sufficient for a retention time of 100 days with a feed of 18l per day.
GTEC selected in particular the 2 stage design with respect of the effluent utilized as fertilizer. No other design offers the combined benefits of highest biogas yield and a sanitized effluent.
GTEC offers to rent the test plant to interested client. The data collected with this test plant enables the participants in a biogas project to design most efficiently and economically. This might be also interesting to home owners, who intend to install a biogas plant. The test plant show the suitability of a biogas plant and avoids misinvestment.
A similar plant is for home owners, who also possess a suitable garden. The plant may produce about 30 to 50l biogas per day and person. The higher value will be achieved with cofermentation.
The plant will be designed for a retention time of approx. 100 days. This will be enough to decompose nearly all organic components including germs.

- Biogas to utilize as cooking gas, lighting and electricity generation
- fermentation residue as high valuable fertilizer, even poor soils can be enhanced
- Reduction in water consumption due to the utilization of the liquid residue.
